Since the age of 16, Álvaro Matesanz has been a student of several professors very different styles, among which Sacri Delfino, Arturo Lledó and Emmet Crowley stand out. He has also received classes and masterclasses from internationally renowned professors such as Juanma Barroso, Kenny Werner, Bobby Martínez, Peter Bernstein, Ari Hoening, Johannes Weidenmueller, etc.
Composer / Arranger
From the age of 19, he began to study harmony with professors Alejandro Moreno and Eva Gancedo at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and then focus on composition and arrangement, with professors such as Ramón Paús and Alejandro Román, and on the technical side, with José Vinader in the Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio

Álvaro Matesanz is conductor and founding member of the Orquesta de Cabecera; a research project that unites medicine, music and social work under the auspices of Gerencia Asistencial de Atención Primaria de la Comunidad de Madrid and Fundación Para la Investigación e Innovación Biomédica de Atención Primaria of the public health
